Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Braveyo LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use Concuror apps and the Concuror website. Concuror is a Braveyo LLC brand for small, simple apps.

2. Apps Covered

This policy applies to the following Concuror products:

  • Concuror website
  • Concuror (Windows)
  • ConcurReminder
  • ConcurNotes
  • ConcurNews

3. Data We Collect

Native apps

Concuror native apps do not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not run our own servers for these apps and do not store your personal data from their use. The apps work with the following data:

  • Location: Unless specified, an app does not require location access. If an app requests it (for example, ConcurReminder), with your permission, it reads your device location to provide location-based features. Your coordinates may be sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service to determine your city and state; that request is governed by the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.
  • Local app data: Your content—such as notes, habits, countdowns, D-Days, world clock cities, events, reminders, chat history, news digests, saved articles, and settings—is stored in a local database on your device. Notifications and widgets use data stored and scheduled locally on your device. If an app supports Markdown import or export, that file stays under your control on your device or wherever you save it.
  • Platform data from Apple, Google, or Microsoft: Aggregated sales, installs, crash reports, and basic diagnostics that the app stores provide to developers.
  • Support communications: If you contact us directly by email.

We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or other tracking data from within these apps.

Concuror website

The website is a legal research tool. It does not require an account. It works with the following data:

  • Questions you submit: sent to our servers to search the hosted legal corpus, and to the model endpoint you configure to generate an answer. We do not save chats.
  • Model settings: API key, model name, and base URL stay in your browser session storage. They are sent with research requests so we can reach your chosen model. We do not store them on our servers.
  • Usage counts: an aggregated daily request count, not tied to an account, used to enforce a request limit.
  • Legal corpus: we host FTB, OTA, and FTC source text so the site can search it. That is not your personal data.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the limited information described above to:

  • Run the website search and return source excerpts and answers.
  • Enforce a daily request limit on the website.
  • Understand stability, performance, and crashes based on platform diagnostics.
  • Verify purchases and downloads as reported by Apple, Google, and Microsoft.
  • Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues you report.

We do not sell your personal information or use these products for targeted advertising.

5. Data Storage and Retention

In the native apps, your content is stored on your own device and within the Apple, Google, or Microsoft ecosystem (for example, backups tied to your platform account). We do not maintain separate servers for your app data. Uninstalling an app removes its locally stored data from that device.

On the website, chats are not saved. Model settings in session storage clear when you close the tab. Usage counts are stored on Appwrite. Closing the site or clearing site data removes locally stored settings.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Apple, Google, and Microsoft: When you download or use our apps from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store, Apple, Google, or Microsoft may process store account information, payments, crash reports, and basic install analytics under their own privacy policies.
  • OpenStreetMap Nominatim: If an app uses location services, it may send your coordinates to Nominatim for reverse geocoding, as described in Section 3. No other personal data is included in that request.
  • News publishers: If an app builds a news digest (for example, ConcurNews), it requests public RSS feeds directly from the publishers you have switched on. Those requests are governed by each publisher's own policy. Feed content is stored only on your device.
  • Appwrite: Hosts the website and the legal corpus, and stores the daily request count.
  • Model providers: When you enter a key, your question and retrieved excerpts are sent to that provider (for example OpenRouter) under their policy. If you do not supply a key and a server fallback is configured, the site may send the request to OpenRouter using a server-held key.
  • Official source sites: Retrieved materials may include links to ftb.ca.gov, ota.ca.gov, and ftc.gov. Visiting those sites is governed by their own policies.

7. Children's Privacy

Our apps and website are not designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your Choices

  • You can deny or revoke location permissions for our apps in your device settings.
  • You can delete content you create in the apps at any time from within the app.
  • You can uninstall an app from your device, which removes its locally stored data.
  • You may adjust system-level privacy settings for analytics, diagnostics, and backups through your device settings.
  • On the website, you can clear session storage or close the tab to remove locally stored model settings. You can stop sending questions by not using research.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our apps, website, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the apps or website after changes are published means you accept the updated policy.
